2025 BACS Early Career Researcher Prize

We are pleased to announce the winner of the 2025 BACS Early Career Researcher Prize!

Winner Matthew Hurst (University of York) for his essay “Hong Kong Colonial Government Migrated Archives at Hanslope Park” which was presented as a mini-keynote at the AGM for the annual conference, held at the University of Leicester (UK) 3-5 September 2025.

Chaired by Patricia Thornton, the Early Career Researcher Prize includes a prize of £500. BACS thanks Tia for her hard work.

We received a large number of submissions this year, of very high quality. All were sent out for independent review and scoring by two reviewers.
