Lance Pursey, PhD in History (Birmingham), The Necropolitan Elite of Northeast China in the Long Eleventh Century: A Social History of Liao Dynasty Epitaphs (960-1125)

Wayne Wong, PhD in Film Studies/Comparative Literature (King’s College, London and University of Hong Kong), Action in Tranquility: Sketching Martial Ideation in Kungfu Cinema

Stuart Wright, PhD in East Asian Studies (Sheffield), Governing Social Change in Amdo: Tibetans in the Era of Compulsory Education and School Consolidation

The winner will be announced at the British Association of Chinese Studies annual conference, to be held online via Birmingham University in September 2021.
