2019 Employability Report

Calling on all UK Graduates of Chinese Studies, graduating in 2006 or later…

Building on the regular publications produced by BACS, in collaboration with ASCSL (Association for Speakers of Chinese as a Second Language), earlier this year we initiated a proposal for an in-depth study into the career challenges and opportunities for students of Chinese Studies in the UK.  We are delighted that UCCL agreed to provide the funds to support this important study.

Richard Daff, who studied Chinese at the University of Leeds, will be carrying out the research and is keen for people who studied Chinese as a Second Language in the UK, graduating in 2006 or later, to provide their valued insights.

Between May and August 2019 Richard will be conducting interviews and collecting relevant data.

All students of Chinese Studies, graduating in 2006 or later, are encouraged to contact Richard (employability2019report@gmail.com), providing their year of graduation, current location and contact details.

Please encourage your classmates and/or colleagues to do the same.
